What to expect

As a humanistic therapist, the relationship I offer is genuine, non-judging and honest. The content of our work is fully confidential.

I offer a free 20 minute Zoom session so you can get a feel for me and how I work before you decide if I'm the right therapist for you.

Initial sessions generally focus on hearing what's been going on for you, and giving space and time to feelings. 

As sessions progress, we'll start to make sense of your patterns and how you respond to the world, building self-compassion, insight and perspective.

We'll explore your current situation and look at influences from your history. We'll identify the responses you formed to the world and people around you and how these may no longer serve you.

I work with how your responses may be held in the body, helping you to be more attetntive to your patterns of stress and distress in order to respond more effectively before feelings become overwhelming.

From time to time I may suggest more practical exercises and homework tasks.

We can review from time to time what you're getting from working with me, and we can form an ending when you feel satisfied or decide that you want to move on.
